Sequential Images (Group work)
This week's project was based on sequential images which is all about taking pictures in a logical order in a way that tells the viewer a story. During my personal research about sequential images, I came across Mrs cook's art class works which has some good sequential images.
The sequential image above illustrates a story of a flying bird and you can clearly see how the photographer was trying to the different angles of the bird's movement (the flapping of the wings. it also gives you a little insight into how a bird flies, in the sense of how the bird goes downward a bit and then flaps its wings from an upward to downward movement to push itself higher up and forward as well, and also extend the wings completely to give itself a steady state while in motion.
In this project, we were put in a group and given a task to create a sequential image of our own, put it together, and create a blog post about it.
The image above was what my partner and I came up with for the task given to us on sequential images.
On attempting this task my partner and I took a couple of dolls from the class and thought of what we could do with them, eventually, we went to the library and tried taking a couple of pictures before the idea came in of trying to make a love triangle with the three dolls.
The sequential image above is basically showing a love triangle between a guy and two girls, from the first picture which shows the guy and girls he is supposedly cheating on with, down to the second picture where his actual girlfriend caught them together and then approved them in the third picture but they were still keen on seeing each other ( the guy and the girl), they were then in the bushes in the forth picture but somehow the girlfriend kept getting information about their location and in the fifth picture she was in the bushes spying on them, down to the sixth and final picture where the boyfriend finally left the other girl and he and his girlfriend were seen happy together somewhere in the bushes.
After getting our pictures we came back to class and then added the photos to our Google Drive, took the pictures we needed, converted them to JPEG , and put them together with a contact sheet generator as seen above.
