WEEK SIX: 3D CONSTRUCTION PLANNING

This week, I began the planning of my 3D model construction, this blog will serve as a planner for how I will carry out the construction of this model.

Firstly, I need to consider and allocate a timeframe for the construction of this design, and for this, next week (week seven) turns out to be a production week and would be a great time to complete the entire 3D model, so the plan will be to start and complete the model by the end of week seven.

Secondly, I need to consider the materials that I would use and how they would be coursed. At this moment, I am not entirely sure about the materials that I would use for the 3D model because I am not intent on designing just the building but also the landscape, therefore the plan, for now, would be to meet up with the technicians at the DMU workshops to get some insights from them on how to go about this design.

UPDATE

I have met with the technician at the model making workshop, and after showing him my design and explaining how I intend to make the model, he suggested that the best material for me to use would be the pulp board which can be sourced from the 3d printing workshop, he also advised that I used the laser cutting machine in order to get o smoother cut and finish on my models.

Due to this update, the plan now will be to maximize the weekend to learning AutoCAD which I said I would learn in the welcome post because it would be needed to use the laser cutting machine.

To conclude, I intend to follow this plan as effectively as possible and will make an update once the model is complete.

UPDATE ON THE COMPLETION OF THE 3D MODEL

Week seven is over, and I am updating this post to say that this plan was followed properly and the 3D model has been completed.
